Loads of inventions are actually “in the oven”, yet we know nothing about them. What are must-haves today probably won’t be tomorrow, because they’ll be obsolete.
And cell phones, which we don’t put down for anything, could be among them. What could possibly take their place?
The Humane AI Pin, for example, doesn’t have a screen, but if you talk to it or close your hand it sends a message, makes a call and projects the information you need onto the palm of your hand!
Its creators are Imran Chaudhri and Bethany Bongiorno, former Apple executives who are now working on their own idea.
Their first product is a very small gadget designed to be worn on your clothes and leave your hands (and eyes) free.
It has a camera, because how could we live without documenting everything in pictures! Plus, it works with a color system meant to respect other people’s privacy: when it’s recording audio it turns red, when taking pictures, green.
Using gestures as commands, you can switch songs and request other functions. From the looks of it, this new device is both complete and compact.
For the time being, you need a monthly subscription to use it, it costs around 700 dollars and will be sold as of January 2024 in the United States.
